Consignors
Our final day to be open will be Saturday, July 26, 2008. If you would like to obtain your remaining items after that date, we will be available Tuesday, July 29th and Wednesday, July 30th. Any items remaining after 5:00pm on Wednesday will be donated to Habitat for Humanity and a tax donation receipt will be mailed the following week, as well as a check for any sold items. Our checking account will close on Friday, September 5. Please be sure to cash your check before that date.
Too Good to be Through provides consignors with a place to display their gently used furniture in the well established area of downtown Edmond giving them maximum exposure with minimal effort.
What types of things can I sell in your store?
We select items for consignment that we believe will sell to customers in the market for gently used furniture and home furnishings. This includes, but is not limited to, dining room, bedroom and living room furniture. We do not sell draperies, dishes, appliances or cribs.
We recommend bringing in or emailing (info@toogoodtobethroughonline.com) pictures of items you are interested in consigning. This will help us determine if they are pieces we think we can sell for you. Smaller items such as lamps and artwork can be brought in at your convenience. However, we reserve the right to turn away any or all items brought in that we have not approved before hand. If we are unable to review your items when you bring them in, we will contact you at a later time to discuss acceptability and pricing. If for some reason we feel that the item cannot be sold in our store, you can either pick it up within 10 days, or we can donate it to charity for you.
How does pricing work?
The initial selling price is agreed on by the staff at Too Good to be Through and the consignor. It is discounted 25% after 20 days and 50% after 40 days. At the end of the 60-day contract you can either get the unsold item(s) back or we can donate it to charity in your name, supplying you with a tax receipt. When an item sells, we split the selling price.
Do I need to get the furniture to your store?
Too Good to be Through offers a pick-up/delivery service for a fee starting at $30.00. Arrangements can be made for pick up after determining if the item is accepted.
