In 2004, Brooke Greenway and Sarah Bailey began looking for a way to help with their family incomes while, most importantly, being with their children. After many ideas—some crazy and others doable — a furniture consignment store was suggested. From there everything seemed to fall into place. The Lord blessed Brooke and Sarah with a great location, countless moral supports, and many possible consigners even before the store opened. And in February of 2005, Too Good to be Through became a reality.
Being a family business, Brooke and Sarah almost always had their children at the shop with them. And on the weekends, it wasn’t unheard of to find their husbands there as well. In the first year, not only did their business grow, but so did their families, by one daughter each.
In 2007, Brooke's life led her to new adventures and she decided with bittersweet feelings she needed to leave the business. Sarah's husband, Josh, took on a much more active role. Together Josh and Sarah continue to enjoy the business and learn new things about furniture. They have fun getting new items in and seeing what other people are attracted to. There have been some rather unusual items and some truly breathtaking ones.
Josh and Sarah look forward to continuing this business as long as they feel it is right for their family and their Heavenly Father blesses it.
